90% of my closet either doesn't fit me or isn't fit for BF purpose 🥲

I've kept 4 kg from my pregnancy (2 months pp), but my "chest area" is way bigger than before, which essentially means I've gone up a size on top lol.

I've decided to take the opportunity to do a big triage of clothes I know I won't wear anymore, even once I'm done BF. I've explored Vinted a lot, too.

I feel lots more confident, weirdly. Just trying not to freak out at my wardrobe getting smaller ahah

Same here! I’m much bigger on my top half as well, BF related probably. How have you found Vinted? I haven’t used it yet because I know you obviously can’t return items and I have no clue what size I am anymore😂🤍

I'm in the same phase as you right now--just had a baby and am kind of in-between sizes for a lot of things! Luckily a lot of what I was wearing 2nd and 3rd trimester are still working postpartum because I got a lot of elastic waist bottoms and looser tops. And now that it's warm sundresses are an option, and if I wear them with shorts, then they also work well for breastfeeding.

Glad im not the only one! Such a goood idea to wear shorts under dresses for breast feeding! Thanking the universe that elastic waisted pants are trendy right now because that’s also what I’m living in😂🤍

It is so, so inspiring to me how you are building a capsule wardrobe and intentionally buying pieces that you can wear many times. I am not postpartum but this is something I aspire to!!!! Also, absolutely LOVING the clothes you picked out 😍😍😍 You're killing it Melissa!!! 💖

Aw thank you so much Deborah! I’ve always wanted to shrink my wardrobe down to a collection that properly suits my lifestyle. Motherhood has a way of pushing me into finally doing the things I always say I’ll get around to😂🤍

I love this post because this morning I was thinking “god, I have nothing to wear!” In colder/spring months I wore a lot of oversized button downs because I had a bunch and they were easy for nursing. As it got warmer where I lived, I embraced athletic shorts & nursing tanks but now that I’m back at work, I need to create a little nursing friendly/ work friendly capsule! I do rent clothes which I have found sooo helpful in this stage and during pregnancy

Life was much easier in winter/early spring because I could be cozy in jumpers, oversized shirts, and leggings that stretch! I’m so jealous you can rent clothes. I would love to do that but haven’t come across a good service here in Ireland!

I love how you made the black shirt and shorts a set! It’s humbling the first summer postpartum. I wanted my whole closet to burn, I felt like all of my old clothes didn’t fit this new version of me. It took two years to finally get to a place where I like what I wear. It’s a journey 🤍

Thanks Meggie! You summed it up… it’s definitely a journey. With regard to the black top set, the shorts are actually sports shorts but you can’t tell when paired with the button down shirt😎 extra comfortable!

All I can say is I am so grateful that elastic waistband shorts are IN right now! The tops you chose are so cute! I think I lived in flowy sundresses?

Yess an alternative title to this was going to be “a love letter to elastic waistbands” 😂 I’ve stopped wearing dresses because I’ve realised that if I do wear them, I have to get half naked in order to breastfeed 😅 unless I find some button up/breastfeeding friendly dresses!!

Ah yes, true. I remember I paid dearly for some lovely Boden dress that wasn’t too hard to push aside 😆 maybe a stretch strapless one with a chambray button down tied over the top?
